Our Response to: “You’re NOT Under ANY Law?” (w/ Scripture & Comments)

Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight: for BY THE LAW IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF SIN.

Romans 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ;

Romans 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter . <- the LAW

Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, THEN CHRIST IS DEAD IN VAIN.

God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that He is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth NOT in temples made with hands ; Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, seeing He giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; (Acts 17:24-25 KJV)

Your law is vain. Your work is vain. Your “worship” is vain. Your “houses of god” are vain. Your “obedience” is vain. The only thing that is not vain is your God, Jesus Christ. But all of your attempts to “get right” w/ Him are vain. The only thing that matters is Him . And the only thing we must, or even can, do is trust in HIM !

In religion (the old covenant), we use Him while believing He uses us. In relationship (the new covenant), He lives His life & you live yours getting to know Him .

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities WILL I REMEMBER NO MORE. In that He saith, A new covenant, He hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away. (Hebrews 8:10-13 KJV)

Jesus & Paul DO preach different messages: Jesus taught the OLD Covenant while Paul gave us the NEW – Via JESUS! So, there is no “contradiction” but, there are two covenants. FWIW, when we learned this, we were set F R E E, thank you Jesus!
